Summer 2022 Trends to Lighten Up With

Today, I'm going to show you 10 looks motivated by British Style's spring-summer 2022 fashion patterns. We'll first take a look at the runway looks, and then I'm going to recreate the trend myself, using pieces that I currently own. Let's get on in! The very first trend is everything about the mini-skirt.

This appearance is inspired by the Miu Miu runway, where they paired a really brief mini-skirt with a belt and an extra-large cotton t-shirt. I took some elements of the Miu Miu look and combined a puff-sleeve cotton shirt with a tan mini-skirt. I love the blue and tan combination and how the belt perfectly matches the skirt.

I went for a pair of semi-flared jeans. I like the juxtaposition of something a bit formal and edgy, like my leather jacket, with something very casual, like my jeans. The color of the coat is so rich and gorgeous; it just produces a very classy but edgy look at the same time.

My look, inspired by Missoni, quite channels that beachy, blue-and-white ambiance. Rather of acquiring something brand-new that I know I will probably never ever wear after this season, I went with my beach cover-up. I enjoy the unexpected pairing that these 2 pieces develop. This next trend is ageless. It's everything about white on white on white. You can play with different shades and tones of white. My outfit is inspired by this Cecilie Bahnsen look and I just enjoy the whimsical quirkiness and girliness of this look.

This is such a fantastic method to design a corset without being too over the top. I have on a set of truly flowy linen pants on the bottom. On my feet are black shoes, and I like how they connect my hair color. This next pattern is everything about glossy things.

I enjoy that on top of a pretty simple sequined jumpsuit, you have this truly long, smooth, practically scarf-like accessory connected throughout it. That isn't really wearable, so I used a silky scarf around my neck as the icing on the cake of the clothing. The next pattern is also a little bit difficult to style.

To make this more wearable, I took a creative method motivated by this catwalk look. I like the net information and the ball-looking embellishment that develops a polka-dot effect. Without revealing every inch of my skin, I paired a pair of polka-dot pants with a large dotted top, and beneath I have a simple black bandeau.

The next trend is all about early 2000s fashion. This catwalk look motivated me to use my headscarf as a top and set it with some low-rise pants. Using a headscarf as a top is not a new trick in fashion, but I had never attempted it in the past, and I actually like the method it looks.

I love the play with various shapes in addition to the juxtaposition of womanly and manly. This designer appearance provided me a brand name new clothing concept. I would never have believed to match my yellow sweater with my floral patterned skirt, along with my yellow satiny shoes and my pink blazer on top of it.
